Thomas Transfer & Storage Co., Inc. was founded in 1945 in Emporia, Kansas as Thomas Truck Terminal. Then, we were a truck stop and local cartage company. Now - more than 65 years and two locations later - we've become one of the leading commercial and residential relocation moving companies in the Midwest and Southwest. We are Better Business Bureau-accredited, an American Moving & Storage Association-designated ProMover and an agent of United Van Lines, one of the world's premier carriers.
Our company's Emporia location is still in operation, and we now own facilities in Wichita and Houston, Texas and more than 100,000 square feet of storage space. Thomas Transfer & Storage has been owned by the same family since our company first opened its doors more than 65 years ago, and, due to the size of our Kansas service area, we're the only United agency in Wichita and its surrounding cities.
